    摘要: A clamping means in the type of an outer clamping means or an inner clamping means for fixed-clamping of work pieces, for the purpose of rotative processing. For achieving a radial displaceability of the clamping segments thereof, an inclined guide surface of a clamping sleeve or of a clamping mandrel with correspondingly inclined slide surfaces on the clamping segments are used. For the application of force into the clamping segments, at least one coupling element is provided on the housing or on the actuation member. The clamping element is axially fixed to the housing or to the actuation member and engages with at least one clamping segment axially in a form-fit manner in a coupling region between an in axial direction distal guide surface region of the guide surface and an in axial direction proximal guide surface region of the guide surface.

    摘要: An collet and lock nut assembly includes a collet for receiving a cutting tool shank and a lock nut for creating a gripping force between the collet and the shank. The collet has a nose portion and a body portion separated by an annular groove. The lock nut has a plurality of retention tabs and a corresponding number of clear portions. The collet and lock nut assembly can be easily assembled by inserting at least one retention tab within the groove of the collet, and then applying pressure to the collet such that the remaining retention tabs of the lock nut are received within the groove of the collet to place the assembly in a locked position. The collet and cutting tool shank can be drawn from the tool holder by applying rotational torque to the lock nut. The collet is easily removed from the lock nut by applying pressure in any circumferential, lateral direction against the collet.

The fastening cap is mounted on the body, and the cutter protrudes from the fastening cap. The body has a fastening portion; the collet has an annular groove. The fastening portion has a fastening portion end face. The annular groove has a first face. The fastening portion end face and the first face are separated by a distance. By means of confining the distance between the fastening portion end face and the first face, a contact area between the body and the collet is increased to enhance the clamping force. Accordingly, the cutter holder can firmly clamp the collet for precise machining.

    摘要: A chuck has a chuck body at least generally centered on a body axis and a collet in the hole and having an external screwthread. A ring axially nondisplaceable in the body has an internal screwthread engaging the screwthread of the collet and external gear teeth. The body is formed with a radially outwardly open cavity seat in which some of the teeth of the ring are exposed. A gear fitted in the seat meshes with the ring teeth and can rotate about a drive axis not parallel to the body axis to rotate the ring about the body axis. According to the invention a sleeve on the chuck extends axially across and covers the seat to retain the gear therein and is formed with a through going aperture through which a tool can fit to engage and rotate the gear.

    摘要: A holder for a collar having an axially forwardly directed shoulder and axially rearward thereof a radially outwardly directed centering surface has a drive sleeve fitted over the collar and a plurality of angularly spaced jaws each formed with an axially rearwardly directed face and displaceable between an outer position with their faces bearing on the shoulder and an inner position with their faces out of engagement with the collar. An axially displaceable actuating member can move the jaws between their inner and outer positions. A plurality of retaining fingers each have an axially rearwardly directed face and axially rearward thereof a radially outwardly directed centering face. These fingers are each radially elastically deformable between an outer position with the front-end faces bearing axially rearward on the shoulder and the centering faces bearing radially outward on the collar centering surface and an inner position out of contact with the collar.
