Abstract:
The present invention relates to a socket alignment device for a bar loading magazine for guiding a bar of material to an automatic lathe, wherein a z-axis (z) is defined by the longitudinal axis of a bar of material (2) guided in the bar loading magazine, and wherein a first socket (1), into which the bar of material (2) is to be introduced for processing thereof in the automatic lathe along the z-axis, is arranged in the bar loading magazine, wherein the first socket (1) is mounted so as to be rotatable either coaxially about the z-axis (z) or about a rotational axis (ζ′) parallel to the z-axis (z) and wherein at least one drive means (6) is included, which can be coupled at least to the first socket (1), specifically to the rotary drive of the first socket (1) about the z-axis (z) in such a manner that the first socket (1) and the cross-sectional profile of the bar of material (2) can be aligned flush with one another for introduction of the bar of material (2).
Abstract:
A system and method for performing machining operations on first and second ends of an elongate workpiece, the system comprising a support for the workpiece which has first and second, spaced sides, each of which has first and second spaced ends, a first machining tool disposed proximate the first end of the first side for performing a first machining operation on a first end of the workpiece, a second machining tool being positioned proximate the second end of the second side for performing a second machining operation on a second side of the workpiece, the first and second machining tools being mirror images of one another.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a bar feeder, which comprises a swing member designed to be swingably moved by a rotation shaft located above a guide rail. In normal mode, the swing member is kept in a standby in the vicinity of an upper position where the swing member is located to extend across and over a guide rail up to a bar rack. The swing member normally rotated to a lower position where the swing member is located on a far side from the bar rack with respect to the guide rail. During the process, the swing member receives a bar from the bar rack, and loads the bar to the guide rail. When a bar is removed from the guide rail, the movement of a bar to the swing member is inhibited by an inhibition member, and the swing member without a bar is moved to the lower position to create an ejection space between the rotation shaft and the bar rack. The present invention makes it possible to readily remove the bar loaded in the guide rail therefrom.
Abstract:
The device for automatically feeding blanks or half-finished workpieces to a machine tool, more particularly a CNC lathe, and automatically unloading the machined workpieces is composed of a gantry loader having an integrated feeder device that allows loading bars into the rear of the spindle of the lathe, thereby constituting a universal automatic feeding device. Furthermore, the latter more particularly allows a controlled removal of the bar end after all workpieces have been machined from a respective bar.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for storing dispensing and feeding bars of stock to a material processing device includes a rotatable magazine to and from which bars of stock are transferred laterally and a bar support rack which receives the bars one at a time from the magazine, and transfers them axially into or out of a device such as a lathe for machining. Means are provided for the bidirectional transfer of bars of stock between the magazine and the support rack so that an unused portion of a bar of stock may be removed from the lathe and transferred back into the magazine for storage or disposal. A bar of stock is moved axially along the bar support rack by a pair of skewed concave rollers so that a bar is simultaneously moved axially and rotated about its axis to thus aid in inserting the bar into the lathe spindle collet.
Abstract:
A workpiece holder 1 includes a holder head 11 and a holder body 12. The holder head 11 includes a chuck unit 13 for holding a workpiece W, a support pedestal 111 for supporting the chuck unit 13, and a hook 113 provided on a distal end portion of an arm 112 extending from the support pedestal 111. The holder body 12 includes a cylindrical body portion 121, a retained portion 123 that is arranged inside the body portion 121 and rotated around the cylinder axis J1 to be in either a retained state in which the retained portion 123 is retained by the hook 113 on the −Z direction side or in the released state in which retaining by the hook 113 is released, and a disk spring 126 for biasing the retained portion 123 in the −Z direction.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a bar loader and machine tool equipped with such bar loader, wherein the machine tool includes at least one workpiece spindle configured to receive an elongated workpiece, and the bar loader apparatus comprises, for each workpiece spindle of the machine tool being configured to move in a longitudinal direction being axially arranged with respect to the spindle axis of the respective workpiece spindle, a respective associated workpiece guide channel assembly for receiving and guiding a respective one of the elongated workpieces, and each respective workpiece guide channel assembly includes a fixed guide channel portion and at least one slidable guide channel portion, the at least one slidable guide channel portion being movable into the longitudinal direction of the spindle axis of the respective associated workpiece spindle.
Abstract:
In order for a bar feeding device comprising at least one bar guide for feeding at least one item of bar stock to at least one workpiece spindle of a lathe, and a machining unit, for producing an end contour at one end of the item of bar stock, which enables gripping of the end by means of a collet chuck in the bar guide to be improved such that said bar feeding device operates as efficiently as possible and in particular reloading of items of bar stock into the at least one bar guide can be performed as efficiently as possible and within a short time, it is proposed that the bar feeding device has a bar loading magazine that is rotatable about a magazine axis and comprises more than two bar guides that are disposed about the magazine axis in a magazine drum, and that the bar feeding device comprises a buffer storage unit that is disposed between the machining unit and the bar loading magazine and stores a plurality of premachined items of bar stock that are provided with the end contour.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a loading magazine for guiding bar material on an automatic lathe with at least one spindle head that is displaceable in the longitudinal direction. According to the invention, the channel system of a loading magazine of this type is guided on a linear axis and coupled to at least one spindle head, which can be moved in a longitudinal manner, of the automatic lathe such that the bar-guiding channel system can be moved synchronously with the spindle head in drag operation. The formation zones for vibrations in the transition region between the loading magazine and automatic lathe are thus reduced.
