    摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a tubular structural part by means of hydroforming. An assigned end of a supporting tube (1) is inserted into an opening in an end piece (2) and then widened by a pressurized fluid being applied to it and is connected to the end piece (2) with a press fit. The opening (9) has a first portion (10a) with a first inner cross section, which is greater than the outer cross section of the assigned end of the supporting tube (1). According to the invention, the first portion (10a) is adjoined by a second portion (10b), in a step-shaped manner so as to form an edge (11). The inner cross section of the second portion (10b) is smaller than the outer cross section of the assigned end of the supporting tube (1). In the method according to the invention, the supporting tube (1) is first inserted with its corresponding end into the first portion (10a), before the edge (11) cuts into the material of the supporting tube (1) in a further pushing-in movement.

    摘要: At least one embodiment generally relates to using an installation tool to pass an expansion mandrel through an elongated member to at least locally, radially expand at least a portion of the elongated member and achieve an interference fit with a radially expandable member located about an outer surface of the elongated member. In one embodiment, the elongated member is radially expanded over its entire length and may include a stepped feature so that only a portion of the elongated member achieves the interference fit with the radially expandable member. During the radial-expansion process, both the radially expandable member and the elongated member may be at the same or approximately the same temperature. Before the radial-expansion process, the radially expandable member may be assembled using press-fit techniques, shrink fit techniques, clearance fitting techniques, or combinations thereof.

    摘要: A device and method for joining fitting parts provided with a passage opening on hollow profiles through partial expansion of the hollow profiles at the location of the fitting parts is provided. The fitting parts are slid on with the passage openings and are held in position by-means of fluid high internal pressure expansion of the hollow profile. The device includes an expanding lance, which can be slid into the hollow profile and exhibits an axial borehole for the purpose of guiding the pressure fluid. The axial borehole is connected to a fluid high pressure generating system and exhibits a cross channel with an outlet for the pressure fluid in the direction of the hollow profile location to be expanded. The shell surface of the expanding lance exhibits sealing elements that are spaced apart and that define the outlet so as to seal axially on both sides against high pressure. To a reliable joining of the fitting parts on hollow profiles even when the hollow profiles exhibit small outer diameters, it is proposed that the expanding lance comprises two separate, aligned oblong components, of which at least one bears the axial borehole which empties freely on an end face near the outlet. The facing ends of the lance components form the cross channel for the axial borehole of the expanding lance. Furthermore, the device includes a drive unit operable to drive the two lance components into respective hollow profile ends, and are supported on an end side during the expansion phase.
