Abstract:
The present invention relates to collapsible snowshoes. In one embodiment, a collapsible snowshoe includes a collapsible frame, a webbing and a binding. The collapsible snowshoe frame includes a first pair of bars, a second pair of bars, a pair of joints and a center bar securing the pair of joints to each other. The pair of joints is coupled to the corresponding first end of each of the first pair of bars, and is also coupled to the corresponding first end of each of the second pair of bars.
Abstract:
A mount for a snowshoe comprising front holding means and rear holding means, each holding means being constituted by a holding member for the boot, at least one of the holding members comprising at least one abutment element allowing the corresponding holding member to be in constrained abutment against the boot, and the holding member is movable between a boot release position and a boot holding position, the mount furthermore comprising means for causing displacement of the holding member from its release position toward its holding position, in which position it is in abutment against the boot, those means being constituted by a movable part arranged under the region occupied by the boot, connected at least kinematically to the corresponding holding member, actuation of the movable part by the boot during attachment causing displacement of the corresponding holding member toward its holding position, the abutment element being a flexible element.
Abstract:
A harness for an item of footwear comprises a foot interface adapted to receive an underside of the item of footwear thereon. Two lateral straps each have opposed ends connected to the foot interface, and each form a continuous hoop between the opposed ends for a portion of the item of footwear to be received in the continuous hoops on the foot interface. Each of the lateral straps has a longitudinal degree of expansion and contraction to increase or reduce a size of the respective continuous hoop. A cable route is on the lateral straps, the cable route having cable housings and/or cable channels. A cable is routed in the at least one cable route. A closure device pulls on the cable to reduce the size of the continuous hoops in the degree of contraction.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a collapsible snowshoe. The collapsible snowshoe includes an optional guard member, an optional deck, two or more removable support members, one or more cross members, a snowshoe binding, an optional connector, and one or more crampons. Methods of using the collapsible snowshoe are also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for helping the movements of a user's foot, said foot being able to be received in a footwear portion, the front end of which is pivotably mounted relative to a sliding board or to walking equipment, with the system comprising a spring which can be secured to the sliding board or to the walking equipment so as to be applied to a bearing zone of the footwear portion by exerting a pressure on said bearing zone when the bearing zone is moved closer to the sliding board or to the walking equipment, characterized in that it comprises a binding device which can be removed from the spring, with the binding device being able to be fastened to a binding zone of the sliding board or of the walking equipment.
Abstract:
Binding for fastening a boot (10) into in exercise appliance, such as into a ski (1), which binding comprises at least a support part (4), a tip part (7) installed in the support part, and a heel loop (8), of which the position of at least one or other in the support part (4) can be changed for adjusting the binding to boots of different sizes, and which heel loop (8) is installed in the support part (4) in a manner that allows turning in relation to it. The invention is implemented so that the support part (4) is hinged at its front end so that the support part is hinged around a horizontal axis, such as a hinge pin (5), which is essentially at a right angle in relation to the ski (1).
Abstract:
A binding device for retaining footwear securely to a snowshoe, ski, snowboard, and other apparatuses for traversing mainly over snow and ice covered terrain. The mounting plate includes multiple direct locking features on the mounting plate surface which interact with mating interfaces on a ski device. At least one strap coupled to the mounting plate is disclosed for securing a boot to the mounting plate foot bed. A positional releasable axle pivot pin that may selectively articulate the mounting plate and selectively aid in a locked heel mode directly on the mounting plate is disclosed. A first position wherein the binding may articulate in a walking motion on the axle pivot pin when connected to a ski device and a second position wherein the axle pivot pin and secondary locking feature in the mounting plate may be engaged wherein articulation and the walking motion of the mounting plate is prevented.
Abstract:
A device (1) for retaining the front of a boot on a snowshoe, said device including an assembly of retention walls (2, 3a, 3b) forming an enclosure opening towards the rear (AR) and in which the front end of the boot is intended to be received, characterized in that the enclosure is made of two side retention walls (3a, 3b), namely a left wall (3a) and a right wall (3b), and a front retention wall (2) made of a deformable plastic material making a body with a front support plate (5) on which the front of the sole of the boot is supported, wherein the retention walls (2, 3a, 3b) are intended to be drawn together to the boot thanks to a means for drawing together, made of a single continuous tie such as a strap (6) in supple material.
Abstract:
A boot binding for a snowshoe, suspended within the snowshoe for flexibility of the boot relative to the snowshoe in the pitch direction, has a binding footbed that is flexible and allows bending of the boot in the pitch direction, as steps are taken by the user.
Abstract:
A snowshoe has a frame and a pivot axle assembly extending across an opening in the frame for pivotally supporting a boot binding assembly for limited front and rear rotation, a resilient pad is disposed between the pivot axle assembly and the boot binding assembly for permitting frontal plane, side to side movement of the boot binding assembly.
