摘要： A racquet strand clip for fastening a strand to a surface and a method for using the same, comprising a generally rectangular block with a narrow slot cut lengthwise through the block. The slot is cut through the block from top to bottom, and from one end of the block to a point approaching the other end of the block, thus creating an open end and a closed end. In operation, a user threads one end of a strand through a hole in a surface, then pulls the strand taut and slides the end of the strand through the slot within the clip. Upon releasing the end of the strand, the natural elasticity of the strand combined with the narrowness of the slot creates the contact pressure needed to keep the strand from slipping out of the slot, and to keep the clip pressed firmly in place against the surface.

The lacrosse head has a plurality of net attachment means formed therein for attachment of lacrosse net thereto. The lacrosse head has a pocket area defined by a lower portion of the arcuate wall, the scoop, and a lower portion of each of the pair of opposing sidewalls. The lacrosse head also has a catching area defined by an upper portion of the arcuate wall, the scoop, and an upper portion of each of the pair of opposing sidewalls. The catching area of the head is larger than the pocket area.

The invention includes fixing means for assembly of the strings in the sports racket, said fixing means incorporating a flexible body between the string and the racket frame for the absorption and restitution of part of the ball's kinetic energy during impact with the string to beneficially alter the feel of the strings.

摘要： A racket for tennis or squash has a frame extending around a generally planar head area and a plurality of holes are provided therein so as to extend in the plane of the area and open into the latter. A plurality of strings are arranged in the area and connectors are provided for securing the ends of the strings in respective corresponding holes. The connector structure includes a string connector assemblage for each end of each string. Each string connector assemblage includes a coupling element rigidly secured to each end of a string and each coupling element includes a shoulder surface facing away from the end where the coupling element is secured and toward the other end of the string. Each connector assemblage also includes a locating element in the corresponding hole and having an abutment surface facing away from the area. The string and the coupling element are adapted to be pushed into the corresponding hole together so that the surfaces become engaged to hold the coupling element and the string in a predetermined string tensioning position relative to the racket frame.

摘要： A stringing system for a racket consisting of two elements, a prewoven net of individual strings and a two piece fixing device, acting as a string clamp in the string hole of a racket frame under the string's own tension. A first member of the fixing device is tubular in shape and is designed to extend through the interior of the racket frame hole. Its upper portion extends outward from the frame hole and has a slot which separates it into two half shells. A second member of the fixing device is placed over the frame hole and is located entirely exteriorly of the hole. The exterior surface of the second member is adapted to the profile of the racket frame. During stringing of the racket, the first member is placed inside the second member and into the frame hole. The string is passed through the hole in the first member, such that when the first member slides into the second member, its two half shells are pressed together around the string to hold the string in place when under tension.

At least one of the string segments is operably engaged with the member, such that when a ball impacts the string segment, the second section deflects inward toward the string bed.
