摘要: A storage device for protecting delicate objects from environmental elements includes an enclosed housing having a base, sidewalls, a top, and a hinged door. At least one slotted compartment mounted within the housing houses a humidity control device. At least one odor control packet is mounted to the interior of the housing. The storage device can be subdivided into at least two unequal volumes by a removable perforated shelf, including a first volume for storing delicate objects and a second volume housing the LED germicidal light, which can emit anti-microbial light. The first volume can be further subdivided by a removable perforated partition.

摘要: According to an embodiment, an IPL sterilization device includes a lamp configured to output light including a visible light region to sterilize a region including a surface of an object; a capacitor configured to transmit a voltage charged to the lamp; and a controller configured to control the capacitor, wherein the controller is configured to: control the lamp to be driven in an outputable state or an unoutputable state, change the lamp to the unoutputable state when the object satisfies an object overheat condition in the outputable state, and change the lamp to the outputable state when the object unsatifies the object overheat condition after the lamp satisfies the object overheat condition and changes the lamp to the unoutputable state, wherein the outputable state is a state in which the lamp is capable of outputting light by applying a driving pulse to the lamp by the capacitor, and the unoutputable state is a state in which the lamp is not capable of outputting light because the capacitor does not output a driving voltage to the lamp.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a method of forming a self-sanitizing structure. The method includes forming a body region that includes scattering elements in a host composite material. The body region further includes a contact surface that can be contacted by a person during an intended use of the self-sanitizing structure. The method further includes forming an energy source configured to generate electromagnetic radiation and direct the electromagnetic radiation through the body region to the contact surface. Forming the body region further includes configuring the body region to scatter the electromagnetic radiation and pass the scattered electromagnetic radiation through the body region to the contact surface in a manner that maintains the scattered electromagnetic radiation that reaches the contact surface as sanitizing electromagnetic radiation. The sanitizing electromagnetic radiation is electromagnetic radiation that is at or above a minimum irradiance level that neutralizes infectious agents.

摘要: A self-disinfecting passenger control unit (PCU) includes a transparent or translucent molded or injected polycarbonate layer fused between inner and outer films, the outer film divided into contact surfaces (e.g., for passenger control of lights, call buttons, seats, and other functions) and the inner film including embedded traces. Within the molded polycarbonate layer are embedded LED units configured for continuous near-ultraviolet (near-UV) emission (e.g., at or near 405 nm), providing a uniform luminous output directed at the outer film and capable of antiviral/antibacterial irradiation of the high-touch contact surfaces of the outer film. As the continuous near-UV output is both visible by, and safe for, passengers, the LED units may double as backlighting for guiding passengers to the correct contact surface for adjusting a desired cabin function.
