Abstract: A brassiere design that is wireless, that reduces uncomfortable rubbing and chafing of the breasts, and that provides sufficient lift to the breasts to give comfort to the wearer. The brassiere design may comprise left and right cups that are configured as socks for the breasts of the wearer, each of the socks defining a recess into which one of the breasts of the wearer can be received. Each of the socks acts as a stretchable sling or pocket to suspend and hold a breast, and to shape the breast into an attractive teardrop shape.

Abstract: A garment, such as a bra, may include a frame, support structure, casing and/or housing. The frame may be adapted to fit underneath a wearer's breasts and partially wrap around her torso. The support structure be coupled to the frame and may include a volumetric cup positioned thereon, which may be a cantilever projection from the frame adapted so that a portion of a wearer's breasts may be inserted therein. The frame and/or support structure may be encased in a casing. Casing may increase the size of volumetric cup to cover a larger portion of the wearer's breast. Casing may also provide padding or other mechanisms to increase the comfort of wearing the frame, support structure, and/or casing for the wearer. The casings (one for each side of the wearer) may be housed in a housing that wraps around the wearer's torso thereby enabling the wearer to wear the garment.

Abstract: A cushioning underwire assembly has a compartment and a supporting assembly. The compartment has two opposite fabrics mounted attached together to form a compartmenting cavity. The supporting assembly is inserted in the fabrics of the compartmenting cavity and has a wire, two cushion sleeves and a resilient pad. The cushion sleeves are mounted on ends of the wire to prevent the wire from inadvertently penetrating through the compartment. The resilient pad covers one surface of the wire to make a wearer feel comfortable.

Abstract: A mark-free fabric strap wire casing. The casing is provided with a cushion B which is composed of erect fine hairs C for relieving the stress generated by the bra wire on skin. With simple structure, the present invention which is used as the casing for the wire used in female underwear can be manufactured with high production efficiency and suitable for the production automation. Because the fabric strap itself is provided with a cushion composed of erect fine hairs, it has a softer feel when in contact with skin and relieves the pressure feel generated by the wire within the underwear on skin. It reduces the wire impression mark left under the breasts after wearing it. The wire can be embedded without causing much embossment, thereby enchaining visual appearance of the underwear article.

Abstract: A brassiere has a pair of cups each provided with a respective underwire assembly each having inner and outer U-shaped hard underwire portions extending substantially parallel to each other below a respective cup of the brassiere, joined together at ends, and separated by an arcuate slot between the ends. The underwire formed by the two portions is upwardly arcuately concave so as to conform to the contour of a breast in the cup, and is also horizontally arcuately concave so as to conform to the contour of the chest of a wearer of the brassiere. The underwire is embedded in a soft plastic body having an apron along a concave side of the body lying at an angle to the hard underwire portions so that the body and the underwire form a pocket receiving a breast of the wearer in the cup.

Abstract: Brassiere underwires are made in a three step process in which, initially, pairs of injection molded polyamide tips are formed on a continuous flexible strand of carbon fiber or aramid fiber material which can be baked to impart stiffness thereto.
