摘要: A soil probe assembly includes a frame member and a wheel rotatably coupled to the frame member. The wheel includes one or more soil probes that, as the wheel rotates against the earth, the weight of the soil probe assembly drives the soil probes into the earth. The wheel is configured to have at least two planar edges such that, as the wheel rolls onto one of the at least two planar edges, a slamming effect occurs due to the planar edge impacting against the ground, thus causing a soil sample to eject from a soil probe located across the wheel from the ground. The ejected soil sample is collected by a collection hamper. The assembly includes a funnel and a carousel such that the funnel is configured to receive and direct the ejected soil sample to the collection hamper, wherein the collection hamper is coupled to the carousel.

摘要: A tillage implement, a tillage machine, and a method of tilling soil is provided. The tillage implement includes a mounting bracket that couples to a rolling frame, a shank pivotably coupled to the mounting bracket via a hinge assembly, a soil working tool operatively coupled to a distal end of the shank, and a preload assembly for moving the shank to a loaded position that is rotationally offset from an unloaded position. The tillage machine includes a rolling frame that is pulled by a tow vehicle when tilling a field and multiple ones of the tillage implements operatively coupled to the rolling frame that contact and till the field. And the method includes attaching the tillage implement to a rolling frame, preloading the hinge assembly by moving the shank to a loaded position that is rotationally offset from the unloaded position, and contacting the soil with the soil working tool.

The clamp mount may include a first clamp member and a second clamp member pivotally coupled to the first clamp member. The first clamp member may include a first clamp wall spaced apart from a second clamp wall of the second clamp member such that the frame member is clamped between the first and second clamp walls. In addition, the second clamp member may include a flange extending outwardly relative to the second clamp wall such that the flange overlaps the frame member along at least a portion of a top side of the frame member. Moreover, the row unit assembly may include an agricultural row unit including at least one support arm pivotally coupled to the clamp mount.

摘要: A topsoil separating and spreading apparatus includes a grate and rotor assembly that can be pivotally mounted on the top of a standard loader bucket for operation. The spreader member includes an arcuate grate formed with slotted openings and a rotor rotatably mounted concentrically with the arcuate grate so that disks mounted on the rotor shaft will move adjacent to the arcuate grate to push topsoil through the grate openings. The spreader member is pivotally movable between opened and closed positions and is powered by the prime mover. The opening of the spreader member allows a supply of topsoil to be loaded into the bucket loader, after which the spreader member can be closed against the bucket to force topsoil to be discharged therefrom through the grate openings. The rotor breaks up clumps within the bucket, while the grate prevents the discharge of non-frangible debris from the supply of topsoil.

摘要: A furrow closing apparatus is used with a planter that opens a furrow and deposits seeds as the planter moves in a forward direction over the ground. The furrow closing apparatus includes a frame attached to the planter and first and second closing wheels rotatably mounted on respective first and second closing wheel axles. A pivot axle extends from the frame generally transverse to the direction of travel of the planter and an equalizer bracket pivotably connected to the pivot axle. The equalizer bracket receives the first closing wheel axle in a position aft of the pivot axle and receives the second closing wheel axle in a position forward of the pivot axle such that the equalizer bracket pivots as the closing wheels traverse uneven ground to cause the first closing wheel and the second closing wheel to apply a substantially equal force in closing the furrow.

摘要: A conservation tillage implement having three or more rows of individual coulter wheel assemblies laterally spaced apart and removably mounted on a cultivator frame, a coulter wheel assembly in a given row being staggered with respect to the coulter wheel assemblies in a longitudinally adjacent row. The coulter wheel assemblies may be laterally adjustable and may be mounted to the cultivator frame using a mounting means that permits rotation about a vertical axis. The coulter wheel assemblies may have a coil spring with a horizontal spring axis to permit upward deflection in response to impact with an obstacle. Leveling attachments may optionally be mounted to the cultivator frame, along with additional field working tools. The implement is used in the management of crop residue as part of a minimum tillage strategy. The implement is particularly resistant to plugging and can be operated at high speeds without undue damage upon impact with obstacles. Advantageously, the implement can be operated in standing water, as found in the growing of rice.
