摘要: Various embodiments are directed to ambidextrous firearm controls, including an ambidextrous bolt control assembly and/or ambidextrous magazine release and associated methods. The ambidextrous bolt control assembly may include a bolt catch configured to hingedly connect to a firearm to rotate between a disengaged position and an engaged position, the bolt catch may include a first bolt catch engagement button operable from a first side of the firearm and a first bolt catch release button operable from the first side of the firearm; an ambidextrous bolt catch engagement button operable from a second side of the firearm; and an ambidextrous bolt catch release button operable from the second side of the firearm; wherein the ambidextrous bolt catch engagement button and the ambidextrous bolt catch release button may each be separately movable relative to the firearm. The ambidextrous bolt catch assembly may further include an ambidextrous magazine release assembly.

An example assembly includes a lower trigger body comprising a trigger lever; a disconnector rotatable relative to the lower trigger body; a trigger tower rotatable relative to the lower trigger body and the disconnector, the trigger tower defining a trigger tower hook; and a hammer defining a hammer sear hook configured to engage the trigger tower hook to hold the hammer in a cocked position. In response to application of a force to the trigger lever, the lower trigger body may rotate and cause the trigger tower to rotate to release the trigger tower hook from the hammer sear hook.

摘要: An assembly for directing propellant gas to an action of a firearm includes a barrel and a gas block. The barrel has a plurality of gas ports that communicate with the bore of the barrel. The barrel and the gas block define a passage that receives pressurized propellant gas from the bore by way of the barrel gas ports, and directs the propellant gas to a gas port of the gas block. The plurality of barrel gas ports and the passage act as a manifold in which the propellant gas is taken from multiple locations within the barrel, combined into a single flow, and directed into the gas block via the gas block gas port. The pressurized gas is then routed to an action of the firearm by way of a gas tube and a gas key.

A muzzle brake for attachment to a muzzle end of a firearm includes a body defining a first end that engages a muzzle end of the firearm, a second end opposite the first end, and an axis extending therebetween. The body further defines one or more openings intersecting the axis to form a channel extending between the first end and the second end along the axis. The body further defines a first port extending from the channel to an exterior surface of the body and a second port extending from the channel to the exterior surface of the body between the first port and the second end. In operation, the first port directs gas from the channel to an external environment of the muzzle brake that disrupts gas directed by the second port from the channel.

摘要: A cam race comprising a hardened material (harder than a material of an upper receiver) is provided to increase durability of a firearm. The cam race is fit within a groove within an interior sidewall of an upper receiver of the firearm. The cam race comprises a body that is fit within the groove, and a plurality of fastener pins extending away from a rear face of the body that fit within corresponding through-holes of the upper receiver. Distal ends of each of the fastener pins are deformed to form a riveted connection between the cam race and the upper receiver. The cam race defines a slide face along which a cam pin of the firearm slides during a firing process, thereby increasing the durability of the firearm against undesired formation of defects within the interior sidewall of the upper receiver.

The inner surface may define a chamber at the chamber end of the barrel. The chamber may receive a cartridge and to support at least a portion of a casing of the cartridge during firing. The barrel may further define one or more barrel feed ramps at the chamber end configured to guide at least a portion of the cartridge into the chamber during an operational cycle of the firearm. The barrel may engage with a barrel extension as a barrel assembly.
