Abstract: In one implementation, a method for determining accurate store traffic levels includes receiving, at a computer system, historical store data for a physical store that was generated by internal data sources located within the physical store; generating, by the computer system, a historical store model that correlates values from store data with guest traffic levels within the physical store; receiving, by the computer system, current store data from one or more of the internal data sources; determining, by the computer system, current guest traffic level in the physical store based on the current store data and the historical store model; and outputting, by the computer system, the current guest traffic level in the physical store.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for associating users of a network infrastructure to network or endpoint events within the network infrastructure. A method can include receiving, by a network security system that monitors and protects the network infrastructure, a packet for a network event, the packet including (i) information identifying a user device from which the network event originates and (ii) a payload, determining whether the packet triggers at least one association rule in a group of association rules, determining candidate users to be associated with the network event based on the rule triggered by the packet, determining confidence values for the candidate users to be associated with the network event based on the rule triggered by the packet, and returning the candidate users to associate with the network event and the corresponding confidence values.

Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring webpage traffic. A web server can generate a JavaScript wrapper and wrap requested webpage code in the JavaScript wrapper. A client device in communication with the web server can receive a user request to load a webpage in a web browser, receive, from the web server, webpage code for the requested webpage that is wrapped in the JavaScript wrapper and includes an allowlist of allowed domains, execute the wrapped webpage code in the web browser, receive a domain request, identify the requested domain from the allowlist, execute the request if the domain is in the allowlist, and transmit, to the web server, run-time information associated with the domain request. The web server can determine, based on the run-time information, a frequency that the domain request was made, add the requested domain to a proposed allowlist, and generate a proposed modification to the JavaScript wrapper.

Abstract: An imaging system capture images of products on shelves in a minimally invasive way. The images can be processed to assess restocking needs and other information. The imaging system includes multiple shelf-mountable imaging devices that can be positioned throughout one or more retail locations. Certain types of imaging devices may be self-contained units having replaceable or rechargeable internal power sources and/or wireless communication interfaces. Certain types of imaging device are configured to take images only when the field of view is not blocked by traffic (e.g., consumers, employees, etc.). Certain types of imaging devices are low-profile and/or are camouflageable to enhance the user experience.

Abstract: In some implementations, a method performed by data processing apparatuses includes receiving, by an item verification engine, a scan notification indicating that a mobile computing device has scanned an item. In response to receiving the scan notification, the item verification engine provides an instruction for a cart computing system to activate item sensors on a shopping cart. The item verification engine receives sensor data collected by the item sensors as a result of the item having been placed in the shopping cart. The item verification engine receives item verification data for verifying the scanned item from the mobile computing device, performs a verification of the item based on the sensor data and the item verification data, and provides verification results for presentation by the mobile computing device.

Abstract: A customer return management system operates to categorize reverse items for resale, such as returned items or overstock inventory, and deliver the categorized items through a variety of different reverse supply chains in a way to increase a net recovery rate. The system uses a sortation system that performs a two-step process for sorting the reverse items into different reverse supply channels. In a first step, the items can be scanned and divided into two categories based on their value, such as high value items and low value items. The low value items can be quickly liquidated as a bulk. In a second step, high value items can be categorized into a number of different sorts, which are taken to different resale channels.

Abstract: A system may track a person at a location across multiple cameras in real time, while maintaining identification of the person through their visit. The person may not be personally identified; however, the person's presence in video frames captured by different cameras may be linked together. The linked frames may be evaluated by one or more analytics applications. For example, an analytics application may determine a trajectory of a person through a location and plot an overlay of that person's trip through the location on the map. This information may be used, for example, to optimize store layout, asset protection purposes, for counting a number of people at the location at a given time (e.g., for understanding busy hours of the location), determining whether social distancing or other health and/or safety measures may be in compliance, etc.

Abstract: A method for reducing electrical costs relating to conditioning air in a building with an air handling unit, the method comprising: identifying a starting hour and a corresponding starting temperature; identifying an ending hour and a corresponding ending temperature; identifying a plurality of time increments between the starting hour and the ending hour; for each of the plurality of time increments, identifying a plurality of temperature setpoint nodes; determining a least cost pathway from the starting temperature at the start hour to the ending temperature at the ending hour across the plurality of temperature setpoint nodes; publishing a temperature setpoint schedule for each time increment based on the temperature setpoint nodes included in the least cost pathway; and operating the air handling unit from the starting hour to the ending hour based on the published temperature setpoint schedule.
