摘要: A crusher having a pair of spaced rollers mounted on shafts. One of the rollers is moveable with respect to the other roller and the movement is by a pair of screw jacks in conjunction with a pair of toggle assemblies. The moveable roller is supported by moveable bearing housings at ends of its shaft. The toggle assemblies apply a force to the moveable bearing housings to slide each moveable bearing housing along a bearing support and a track located on each side of the crusher. Each roller comprises a pair of roll hubs mounted on the shaft, an expansion ring and a roll shell. Roll wedges are located between the expansion ring and the roll hubs and the roll wedges are drawn together by bolts to provide a radially outward force on the expansion ring which holds the roll shell in place.

摘要: An impact crusher for crushing a feed material received through an opening of the crusher is provided. The crusher includes: a housing defining a crushing chamber; at least one elevation adjustable impact barrier mounted in the crushing chamber; a barrier adjustment mechanism configured to adjust an elevation of the at least one impact barrier within the crushing chamber; and a rotor mounted in the crushing chamber and turned by a drive mechanism. The rotor is configured to direct feed material toward the at least one impact barrier. The bather adjustment mechanism includes at least one hydraulic cylinder mounted to the at least one impact barrier. The cylinder includes a sensor for detecting an absolute extension of the cylinder. A system for crushing a crushable material including an impact crusher and controller is also provided herein.

摘要: A crusher roller having a pair of roll hubs mounted on a shaft. Each hub has an external taper on its radially outer surface and an annular recess in each end adjacent to the inner surface. A shrink disc with an internal taper on the inner surface is positioned within each annular recess adjacent to the inner surface of the roll hubs. A circular wedge having an external taper on its outer surface is positioned between each shrink disc and the inner surface of each annular recess and bolts connecting the shrink discs in each roll hub for drawing the shrink discs together to secure each roll hub to the shaft. An expansion ring is mounted radially outward of the roll hubs and a roll shell is mounted on the outer surface of the expansion ring. A roll wedge with an internal taper on the inner surface is mounted between each roll hub and the inner surface of the expansion ring and roll wedge bolts draw the roll wedges together to apply a radially outward force to the expansion ring to hold the roll shell in place on the expansion ring.

摘要: A method and apparatus (10) for separating a mixture of materials having different sizes and densities is described. The apparatus includes a trough (12), a dispersing and conveying screw (40) and fluid distribution manifolds (26 and 28). The screw has a dispersing portion (50) with paddles (52) which disperse the mixture and a conveying portion (46) with flights (48) which move the first and second materials (152 and 154) up the trough. The fluid distribution manifolds supply both water and air to the trough through fluid orifices (30 and 32). A spray bar (56) is located adjacent the conveying portion of the screw. The mixture is fed into the trough over the fluid orifices and the dispersing portion of the screw. The mixture is dispersed and forms an aqueous suspension (158) with the water. The first and second materials settle out of the aqueous suspension and are conveyed up the trough. The third material (156) remains suspended in the aqueous suspension and flows over the overflow weir (20) and out the lower discharge spout (24). The second material is washed out of the first material by the spray bar and flows back down the trough to be discharged with the third material.

摘要: A crusher is provided having improved wear resistance and crushing capacity. Particularly, the crusher provides an improved mechanism for adjusting the closed side setting by acting on an adjustable jaw, rather than the moveable jaw. The crusher includes a moveable jaw, an adjustable jaw, and a frame that supports the adjustable jaw and the moveable jaw such that the adjustable jaw and the moveable jaw define a crushing chamber having an upper opening for receiving a material to be crushed and a lower opening for expelling crushed material from the chamber after crushing. The crusher also includes a drive mechanism coupled to the moveable jaw for directing reciprocating motion of the moveable jaw and an adjustment mechanism coupled to the adjustable jaw for altering an angle of the adjustable jaw and, thereby, altering a closed side setting of the crushing chamber.
