    摘要: Methods and systems for text data analysis and visualization enable a user to specify a set of text data sources and visualize the content of the text data sources in an overview of salient features in the form of a network of words. A user may focus on one or more words to provide a visualization of connections specific to the focused word(s). The visualization may include clustering of relevant concepts within the network of words. Upon selection of a word, the context thereof, e.g., links to articles where the word appears, may be provided to the user. Analyzing may include textual statistical correlation models for assigning weights to words and links between words. Displaying the network of words may include a force-based network layout algorithm. Extracting clusters for display may include identifying “communities of words” as if the network of words was a social network.

The trace may be a numerical value that decreases as a function of the time that has elapsed since the first trace was generated. The methods and systems may also include receiving data relating to a second trace, and using that second trace to determine the direction. The second trace may be generated by a second UV. The second trace may be associated with a position within a predetermined radius from a position associated with the first UV.

    摘要: In one example, a user is presented with information (e.g., the results of a search provided by a search component executing a search query). The user then subjectively evaluates the information presented pursuant to some metric (e.g., desirable/positive, undesirable/negative, neutral) to provide user feedback. The user feedback is evaluated using one or more evolutionary algorithms to generate a new search query, which may be executed by any one of a number of conventional search components (or a commercial or non-commercial website powered by a search component) to provide new information to the user. The foregoing process may be iterated any number of times, for example, until a user identifies desirable information. In some implementations, additional user interaction is permitted, such as modification of one or more descriptors/characteristics associated with presented information, and/or modification of a search query generated by the evolutionary algorithm(s).
