Abstract:
Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for sharing and publishing files. In one aspect, the database system can maintain a user database, a file database and a library. The database system can receive a first request initiated by a first user to share a first file with one or more second users and, responsive to the first request, enable a second set of one or more permissions for each of the second users. The database system also can receive a second request initiated by the first user to publish the first file to the library and, responsive to the second request, publish the first file to the library. The database system additionally can restrict access to the published file based on permissions associated with the library.

Abstract:
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for sharing content via links. These mechanisms and methods for sharing content via links can enable customizable features associated with the operations related to those links. These features may include generating customized reports on usage of the links, and/or exposing one or more application programming interfaces (APIs) enabling applications to access the links and/or logic associated with operations related to those links.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for receiving a request at a database system that includes a primary node and one or more standby nodes. When the request is determined to be a read-only request and the previous transaction has been replicated to the standby node, the request may be transmitted to one of the one or more standby nodes to perform the read-only operation to retrieve data of the request and transmitting the retrieved data. When the request is determined to be a read-only request and the previous transaction has not been replicated to the standby node, the read-only operation is performed to retrieve data of the request from the primary node and transmitting the retrieved data.
Abstract:
A method is provided for processing a query. In some embodiments, the method includes creating a historical schema defining an ordered set of fields based on a current schema of an object and a field modification of the current schema. The method includes inserting, based on the field modification, a new field at an end of the historical schema and archiving records into a second storage device. The method includes receiving a query, which includes a command specifying a subset of fields and which indicates a non-current field. The method includes searching in the second storage device for archive records having a second schema including the subset of fields and the non-current field. The first and second schemas follow the field order in accordance with the historical schema. The method further includes accessing the subset of fields and the non-current field in accordance with the command.
