摘要: There is provided an inkjet printing apparatus which can restrict each of coloring of reflected light and image clarity within an allowable range required in each of a color mode and a monochromatic mode in any of the modes to output an image with a high grade. For this end, a print duty of each of the first image improving liquid and the second image improving liquid is set in such a manner that a ratio of the print duty of the first image improving liquid having low penetratability to the print duty of the second image improving liquid having high penetratability is higher in the monochromatic mode than that in the color mode. Thereby, an appropriate ratio and an appropriate amount of appropriate kinds of the image improving liquids are applied to each of the color mode and the monochromatic mode.

摘要: A dispersible colorant suitable for ink-jet recording ink is manufactured by a method using aqueous precipitation polymerization. The ink has high dispersion stability and can form a high-quality image excellent in fastness properties. The method includes at least a dispersing step of dispersing a colorant into an aqueous solution by means of a dispersant, an aqueous precipitation polymerization step of adding a resin monomer and a radical polymerization initiator to the solution into which the colorant is dispersed to manufacture a dispersible colorant having a chargeable resin pseudo-fine particle, fixing thereon by means of aqueous precipitation polymerization, and an ultrafiltration step of subjecting the aqueous solution containing the dispersible colorant to ultrafiltration to obtain the dispersible colorant.

摘要: This optical recording medium includes a data part which is a region for recording data and a directory part which is a region for recording its management or direction information. The directory information relating to the above-mentioned data is recorded in the above-mentioned directory part having a hierarchical tree structure. In the recording and reproducing apparatus by using the above-mentioned recording medium, in retrieving data, by retrieving the directory information in the order of a large classification, medium classification and small classification, the data can be detected. Even a large volume of data can be retrieved at a high speed and the data is efficiently managed. It is effective particularly with recording medium with small numbers of sectors per track such as an optical card.

摘要: A control apparatus for a filling machine of the type employing a hopper and rotary feed auger determines the exact number of auger revolutions required to deliver a preselected weight of material to be dispensed by weighing the volume of material delivered by a given number of auger revolutions and computing the ratio of the number of auger revolutions to the weight of the volume delivered. The ratio is then divided into the desired weight to determine the actual number of auger revolutions required to deliver the desired weight. The control apparatus also measures the amount of rotation of the rotary auger after the auger is braked at the end of each fill cycle and increments or decrements a preselected set point number of auger revolutions, depending upon whether the actual number of auger revolutions is greater than or less than the set point, to compensate for auger rotation after braking.
