摘要： A mono-pressure plant for the production of nitric acid, comprising



an ammonia convertor configured for operating at a working pressure ranging between 2 bar and 16 bar, for oxidizing ammonia, thereby producing a gaseous NOx gas/steam mixture;
an air compressor in fluid communication with the ammonia convertor, for pressurizing air to the working pressure;
an absorber unit, wherein the nitrogen oxides contained in a gaseous NOx stream react with water, thereby producing nitric acid;
a first bleacher unit for stripping the dissolved nitrogen oxides from the output product stream, thereby producing a first NOx-loaded stripping gas; and
a means for directing the first NOx-loaded stripping gas to an inlet of the absorber unit.

摘要： A system for evacuating NOx gases from a nitric acid storage tank in a nitric acid production plant. The production plant includes a gas ejector with at least two gas inlets and at least one gas outlet, wherein a first gas inlet is branched from a gas conduit through which NOx-containing gas is flowing at a pressure P1 ranging from 2 to 16 bar; a second gas inlet is fluidically connected to the nitric acid storage tank essentially maintained at atmospheric pressure; and a gas outlet is fluidically connected to a gas conduit through which NOx-containing gas is flowing at a pressure P2 lower than P1. A method for evacuating NOx gases from a nitric acid storage tank, a method for revamping a system of a nitric acid plant, and the use of a gas ejector for evacuating NOx gases from a nitric acid storage tank in a production plant.

an air compressor;

a NOx gas compressor;

the plant comprises means for directing the NOx-loaded stripping gas to the downstream side of the NOx gas compressor;

the plant being characterized in that it further comprises

a high-pressure (HP) water electrolyser, in fluid communication with the bleacher unit.
