Abstract:
A fuel tank includes an internal component having a head portion, a neck portion, and a shoulder portion, in which the internal component is fixed on a tank main body by shaping a parison to the head portion, the neck portion and the shoulder portion during molding of the tank main body. Here, in the fuel tank, the head portion has a rotation-stopping shape. The rotation-stopping shape is preferably an elliptical shape or an oval shape. Further, the rotation-stopping shape is preferably a broad bean shape.
Abstract:
A fuel tank has a built-in component with a head portion, a neck portion, and a shoulder portion, and has the built-in component anchored to a tank body with a parison wrapped around the neck portion during molding. The fuel tank includes a deformation prevention structure configured to prevent a wrapping parison portion wrapped around the neck portion from being deformed due to pressure acting on the tank body. The deformation prevention structure is configured to include one of a stepped portion provided in the shoulder portion, a convex portion, and a recess.

Abstract:
A fuel tank includes: an internal component including a head portion, a neck portion, and a shoulder portion. The internal component is fixed on the tank main body by shaping a parison to the head portion, the neck portion and the shoulder portion during molding of the tank main body. At least one of the head portion and the neck portion includes a bottom portion (a fuse-shaped portion) configured to be broken near a boundary between the head portion and the neck portion.
Abstract:
A fuel tank includes a tank body and a built-in component, which has a head portion, a neck portion, and a shoulder portion, the built-in component being anchored to the tank body with a parison wrapped around the neck portion during molding of the tank body. The head portion and the neck portion are formed with at least one hollowed portion, which is open to an end surface of the head portion, and a cap member is provided to seal an opening of the at least one hollowed portion.
Abstract:
To provide a structure for mounting a fuel tank on a vehicle body that can prevent harmful deformation of the fuel tank that would impair the function of the fuel tank in either case where the pressure in the fuel tank changes to a positive pressure or to a negative pressure, the structure for mounting a fuel tank on a vehicle body includes: a band lower (10L) secured to the vehicle body, extending along at least a lower wall (19L) of the fuel tank (1) and holding the fuel tank (1); a lower wall connecting means (40) that connects at least one part of the lower wall (19L) of the fuel tank (1) to the band lower (10L); a holding member (50) secured to the vehicle body and holding the fuel tank (1); and an upper wall connecting means (40) that connects at least one part of the upper wall (19U) of the fuel tank (1) to the holding member.
