Abstract: A fuel tank for a motor vehicle, which can be designed as a blow-molded hollow plastics tank, into the interior of which a functional component support is inserted, to which are fastenable functional components, for example a fuel pump, a level indicator or valves, and which is supported on opposite inner sides of the fuel tank wall via at least two strut arrangements spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the support. The functional component support has at least one compensating portion which is positioned between the two strut arrangements and with which a length compensation between the functional component support and the fuel tank takes place in order to dissipate mechanical component stresses.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a plastic container by internal pressure forming including positioning a tubular preform between the die parts of a molding die having a die cavity; closing the molding die and forming or preforming a container from the preform using internal pressure, wherein a peripheral portion of the preform is pressed out of the die cavity through a die gap; laterally withdrawing the peripheral portion pressed out of the die cavity, as a result of which the container is divided into two container halves; and thermally separating plastic bridges and/or plastic threads which arise during the lateral withdrawal of the peripheral portion. Also disclosed is a molding die suitable for carrying out the method.

Abstract: A method for blow molding a plastic tank from thermoplastic material, wherein the plastic tank is provided with at least one connection element penetrating the wall of the plastic tank while the plastic tank is being shaped within a blow molding tool. The connection element is fitted onto a blowing needle of the blow molding tool and is positioned in the wall by punching in the blowing needle. Also disclosed is a blow molding tool for use in the method having a blowing needle formed to fit a connection element.

Abstract: A method for producing a plastic container by internal pressure forming including arranging a hose-shaped preform between the molding dies of a mold, formed having a mold cavity; closing the mold and forming or preforming a container from the preform by internal pressure, wherein a circumferential section of the preform is pressed through a mold gap into a chamber surrounding the mold cavity and is pressed in the chamber against claw pairs having stationary inner retaining claws and movable outer tear-away claws; and laterally moving the outer tear-away claws, causing the circumferential section between the outer tear-away claws and the inner retaining claws to be torn open and the container to be split into two container halves. Also disclosed is a mold suitable for performing the method.
