Abstract: Provided are an augmented reality (AR) remote communication method and system for providing a security function for a 3D space. An AR remote communication method of providing, by a computing device, communication within an AR environment based on an image of a three-dimensional (3D) space whose give area is secured includes obtaining a physical space image of a physical space around a user, setting a 3D security area based on the obtained physical space image, performing security processing for converting the physical space image based on the set 3D security area, and providing a security image generated by performing the security processing.

Abstract: A tabletop system for intuitive guidance in an augmented reality remote video communication environment comprises augmented reality glasses worn by a field operator, equipped with a video camera that obtains on-site, actual image information, and displaying an augmented guide on a transparent display; a tabletop receiving the actual image information from the augmented reality glasses and displaying the actual image information on a touchscreen, detecting hand motion information and instructions indicated by a remote expert in an upper space of the touchscreen and transmitting the hand motion information and instructions to the augmented reality glasses as the augmented guide.

Abstract: An augmented reality operating system based on augmented reality software as a service (SaaS) comprises an augmented reality management system providing a pre-assigned 3D virtual image to a web browser which has transmitted a URL address in a distribution mode and in supporting creation of augmented reality content based on augmented reality software as a service in an authoring mode, providing a template for creating the augmented reality content on a web browser authorized as a manager and billing a payment according to the type of template used; a user terminal receiving the 3D virtual image from the augmented reality content management system by transmitting the URL address through an installed web browser and displaying each physical object of actual image information displayed on the web browser by augmenting the physical object with a pre-assigned virtual object of the 3D virtual image in a distribution mode; and a manager terminal accessing augmented reality software as a service of the augmented reality content management system via an installed web browser, creating the augmented reality content by determining an augmentation position on a map, a physical object of actual image information located at the augmentation position, and a virtual object assigned to the physical object respectively in an authoring mode.
