Abstract: A core cooling method includes a hand covering configured as a glove having a palm portion and a wrist portion. The glove also includes an outer layer and an inner liner. An access opening in the palm portion of the outer layer permits access between an outer surface of the outer layer and a pocket in a space between the outer layer and the inner liner. A cooling element is positioned within the pocket and adjacent the access opening in the palm portion of the outer layer. A tubular air passage is connected to the exterior surface of the glove and communicates with the interior of the inner liner permitting air to be withdrawn from the interior of the inner liner.
