Abstract: There are provided compositions and mucin-binding targeting agents derived from microbial proteins that have selective binding properties for densely glycosylated mucins as well as such compositions and targeting agents comprising a binding moiety and/or a pay load which may be attached to the binding moiety or directly to a targeting agent. The compositions and targeting agents may be used as medicaments in the treatment of a disease, illness, or disorders.
