Abstract: The present invention discloses a scanning method by using a virtual frame holder. The method includes using a computer drive scan program to perform a scanning preview, thereby showing an object image pattern on screen. Next, frame holder specification parameters are used. It is judged whether the frame holder specification parameter data source are used. If the judgement is yes, the frame holder specification is selected from the frame holder specification parameters data source. If the judgement is no, a frame holder specification parameter is created from the frame holder specifications. By using the computer a scan area is dragged and the scan position is calibrated automatically by using the drive scan program. Finally, using a drive scan program the object image is scanned.
