The image forming apparatus includes: a roll receiving portion for receiving a continuous recording sheet wound into a roll shape; a sheet transporting portion for transporting the continuous recording sheet from the roll receiving portion; a cutting portion for cutting the continuous recording sheet sent out into a desired size; an image forming portion for forming a toner image on the recording sheet (which has been cut); a fixing portion for fixing the toner image to the recording sheet by heating the recording sheet on which the toner image is formed; a cooling portion for cooling the recording sheet to which the toner image has been fixed; and a curl correcting portion for correcting a curl of the recording sheet when the recording sheet is cooled.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for reusing an image recording material wherein a releasing property is imparted to at least substrate surface of an image recording material on which an image has been formed of an image forming material containing a heat fusible ingredient, a heat fusible material is added or attached onto the image recording material, a stripping member is contacted under pressure with the heat fusible material while heating the heat fusible material together with the image recording materials to fuse, and the image recording material is peeled off from the stripping member to transfer the image forming material together with the heat fusible material to the stripping member, thereby reusing the image recording material. The materials for imparting a releasing property to the substrate surface include silicone compounds such as silane compounds, preferably those silane compounds containing fine particles such as silicone resins. The heat fusible material preferably comprises the same ingredient as the heat fusible ingredient in the image forming material. Base materials of the image recording materials, such as paper, can be efficiently be reused.
Abstract:
In a color image forming apparatus, as the second and subsequent development processes of the simultaneously transfer type, a non-contact type AC field double-element development is employed, and an absolute value of the difference between the maximum bias which provides the maximum toner developing electric field in the direction to the side of the latent image carrier and the average value of the developing bias is set larger than an absolute value of the difference between the minimum bias voltage which provides the minimum toner developing electric field in the direction to the side of the latent image carrier and the average value of the developing bias, while the bias voltage region located between the maximum bias voltage and the average bias voltage is set to a ratio of from 0.25 to 0.45 for one period of the AC voltage, and the frequency of the bias voltage is set from 4 kHz to 10 kHz.
Abstract:
A cleaning device includes: a first scraping member that scrapes off a developer on a surface of a moving body that circularly moves; a second scraping member that is disposed downstream from the first scraping member in a moving direction of the moving body, and that scrapes off residuals remaining on the surface of the moving body; a container having: a first housing portion that houses the developer scraped off by the first scraping member, as a recovered material; and a second housing portion that houses the residuals scraped off by the second scraping member; a discharge port that is disposed in the first housing portion, wherein the developer in the first housing portion is discharged to an outside of the container through the discharge port; and a conveying member that conveys the recovered material housed in the first housing portion to the discharge port.
