摘要: A transmitting entity and a method performed thereby for transmitting one or more data packets to a receiving entity is provided. The transmitting entity and the receiving entity are operable in a communication network. The method performed by the transmitting entity comprises receiving, from an application, a user layer packet, ULP, to be transmitted by means of a transport layer packet, TLP, to the receiving entity. The method further comprises bundling the received ULP together with one or more additional received ULPs in a TLP when a rate of incoming data, bytes or ULPs from the application meets a threshold; and transmitting the TLP to the receiving entity.

摘要: A first node (110; 210; 212; 310; 1000) for determining an indication of a maximum datagram size supported without fragmentation in communication between the first node (110; 210; 212; 310; 1000) and a second node (111; 211; 210; 220) in an Internet Protocol, IP, network (100; 201; 201-202; 300). The first node (110; 210; 212; 310; 1000): sends (301; 901), to the second node (111; 211; 210; 220), request messages in varying sized IP packets using an application layer protocol over UDP and which datagrams are configured not to be fragmented; receives (302; 902) response messages from the second node, each indicating a received request message that the response message is in response to, was received by the second node (111; 211; 210; 220); identifies (303; 903) a request message for which there is a change in receipt of response message compared to another request message of said varying sized IP packets; determines (304; 904), based on said identification, an indication of the maximum datagram size supported without fragmentation.

摘要: A method and a network node for handling SCTP packets are disclosed. The network node provides a control instance of a control procedure for handling administrative chunks of the SCTP packets and at least one data instance of a data procedure for handling association specific chunks of the SCTP packets. With the control instance, the network node discards association specific chunks of a received SCTP packet, and processes administrative chunks of the received SCTP packet. With each of the at least one data instance, the network node discards administrative chunks and a first set of association specific chunks of the received SCTP packet, and processes a second set of association specific chunks of the received SCTP packet, wherein the second set of association specific chunks relates the respective set of said at least one association.

摘要: It is provided a method for enabling an SCTP packet to be encapsulated in a UDP packet the method being performed by a source network node. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a source number based on an identifier of the source network node; obtaining a destination number based on an identifier of a destination network node; generating an SCTP packet, which comprises setting a source port of the SCTP packet to a predefined port number and setting a destination port of the SCTP packet to the destination number; generating a UDP packet, which comprises setting a source port of the UDP packet to the source number and setting a destination port of the UDP packet to the destination number; encapsulating the SCTP packet in the UDP packet; and sending the UDP packet for transport to the destination network node.
