摘要: A combustion chamber structure in which an installation hole of the injector is improved to realize a rapid combustion and to reduce an unburned hydrocarbon. In the combustion chamber, a leading end of an injector is withdrawn from an upper end of an opening of an installation hole, and an additionally expanded surface area is formed on an upper inner surface of the installation hole from a portion to which the leading end of the injector is situated to an opening end of the installation hole. An angle between the additionally expanded surface area and a joint surface of a cylinder head is narrower than an angle between a center axis of the installation hole and the joint surface.

摘要: In order to achieve stable combustion in an internal combustion engine, the engine includes a fuel injection valve having a first nozzle hole and a second nozzle hole, and an spark plug disposed at a position through which the swirling flow flows, and which is at the downstream side of the flow of the swirling flow from an extension line of the first nozzle hole and at the upstream side of the flow of the swirling flow from an extension line of the second nozzle hole, for igniting a spray of fuel injected from the fuel injection valve, wherein the first nozzle hole and the second nozzle hole are formed in such a manner that the shortest distance from the extension line of the first nozzle hole to the spark plug becomes longer than the shortest distance from the extension line of the second nozzle hole to the spark plug.

摘要: An engine controller according to one aspect of the invention is applied to a cylinder injection engine including a fuel injection valve that directly injects fuel into a cylinder. The engine controller determines whether knocking is occurring based on a signal from a knocking sensor. When the knocking is occurring, the engine controller performs partial lift fuel injection at a predetermined timing close to an ignition timing. The partial lift fuel injection is performed with a lift amount of a valve body of the fuel injection valve limited within a range between a minimum lift amount (0) and a partial lift amount, which is smaller than a maximum lift amount.

摘要: In a cylinder head according to an example of the present disclosure, a pair of intake ports communicating with the common combustion chamber are formed so that the wall thickness of the port walls on opposing sides is relatively small and the wall thickness of the port walls on reversing sides is relatively large. Herein, the opposing side is the side on which the port walls of the pair of the intake ports face each other. The reversing side is the side opposite to the opposing side. That is, the reversing side is the side on which the port walls of the pair of the intake ports face away from each other. An inter-ports flow path for flowing the cooling water is formed between the port walls on the opposing sides of the pair of the intake ports.

The control device control a disperse parameter for changing a degree of a spread of the fuel spray injected from the injector (20) such that the maximum degree of the spread of the fuel spray under a state where an amount of the fuel adhering to the spark generation part (31a) of the spark plug (30) at the ignition timing corresponds to a first amount, is smaller than the maximum degree of the spread of the fuel spray under a state where the amount of the fuel adhering to the spark generation part at the ignition timing corresponds to a second amount smaller than said first amount.

摘要: The invention relates to a control device applied to a cylinder injection type of the engine (10). The control device carries out a fuel injection while changing a penetration force of the injected fuel by changing a maximum value of a lift amount of the valve body (22) of the injector (20). Further, the control device controls an ignition timing on the basis of the engine operation state. The control device changes an end timing of a preceding injection carried out immediately before the ignition timing such that a time period between the end timing of the preceding injection and the ignition timing under a state where a first value is set as the maximum value of the valve body lift amount in the preceding injection, is longer than a time period between the end timing of the preceding injection and the ignition timing under a state that a second value larger than the first value is set as the maximum value of the valve body lift amount in the preceding injection.
