Abstract: A torsional vibration damper in which collision noise resulting from collision of a rolling member against a rotary member is reduced. The torsional vibration damper comprises a restriction mechanism that establishes a restriction force in a direction to restrict the relative rotation between the rotary member and the inertia body, when the rolling member centrifugally pushed onto a raceway surface is pushed radially inwardly by the raceway surface toward a radially inner limit position of a guide section.

Abstract: A torsional vibration damper includes a planetary rotary unit and an elastic body that couples two rotary elements of three rotary elements so that the two rotary elements can rotate relatively to each other. The torsional vibration damper includes a shaft supporting member by which a rotation center axis of at least any one rotary element of the two rotary elements and a rotation center axis of the rotary element other than the planetary rotary unit and the two rotary elements are held on the same axis. The shaft supporting member has a holding section that is disposed in a position between fellow planetary rotary elements and not making contact with the planetary rotary elements and that fits with and thereby suppresses movement of the rotary element other than the planetary rotary unit and the two rotary elements in the axial direction.

Abstract: A torsional vibration damper in which a noise resulting from collision of an inertia body against a rotary member is reduced. An inertia body is arranged coaxially with the rotary member, and rolling members are interposed between the rotary member and the inertial body to transmit torque of the rotary member to the inertia body. A first clearance between an outer circumference of a rotary member and an inner circumference of the inertia body created when rolling members are centrifugally pushed onto raceway surfaces is identical to or narrower than a second clearance between one of the rolling members situated at a highest level and a bottom surface of a guide section.

Abstract: A torsional vibration damper that can reduce collision noise of an inertia body when a rotary member is stopped, and a control device therefore. In the torsional vibration damper, a rotary member is mounted on an output shaft of an engine such that none of rolling masses is situated within a predetermined angle range above a rotational center axis of the rotary member when the engine is stopped. Therefore, when the engine is stopped, the inertia body will not be supported by only one of the rolling masses situated within the predetermined angle range.

In the torsional vibration damper, a planetary gear is oscillated within a first oscillating range when a torsional torque is smaller than a reference torque, and within a second oscillating range when the torsional torque is greater than the reference torque. Each backlash between the pinion gear and at least one of a sun gear and a ring gear within the second oscillating range is individually wider than each backlash between the pinion gear and the sun gear and each backlash between the pinion gear and the ring gear within the first oscillating range.

Abstract: A torsional vibration damping device that prevents an increase in an inertial torque due to resonance without reducing a mass of an inertial mass member. A torque of an engine is delivered to a first rotary element of a planetary unit. The torsional vibration damping device damps pulsation of the torque of the engine to be delivered to the transmission by an inertial torque generated by a rotation of the third rotary element resulting from a relative rotation between the first rotary element and the second rotary element caused by the pulsation of the engine torque. The torsional vibration damping device comprises: a connection member rotated integrally with the first rotary element; an intermediate member rotated integrally with the second rotary element; an output member delivering torque to the transmission; a first elastic member connecting the connection member to the intermediate member; and a second elastic member connecting the intermediate member to the output member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an internal combustion engine. An object of the invention is to allow an effect produced by an anodic oxide film to be exerted while suppressing a decrease in the combustion rate. A piston 10 includes a cavity portion 20 and a tapered portion 26 that is formed so as to surround the cavity portion 20 on an outer side thereof. The diameter of the tapered portion 26 decreases progressively in the downward direction from the top face side of the piston. A squish portion 28 is formed on an outer side of the tapered portion 26. An anodic oxide film 30 is formed on a surface (tapered face) of the tapered portion 26 and a surface (squish face) of the squish portion 28. The anodic oxide film 30 is not formed on the surface (cavity face) of the cavity portion 20.
