摘要： An airbag device includes: an airbag having an exhaust hole capable of discharging a part of the inflation gas introduced therein upon opening; and an opening/closing control device capable of controlling opening/closing of the exhaust hole. The airbag has: a flexible bag main body; a discharge part having the exhaust hole; and a coupling member. Peripheral edges of a pair of peripheral wall constituting parts are joined to form the bag main body and the discharge part. Discharge part forming portions, which constitute the discharge part, partially protrude in the peripheral wall constituting parts, respectively. An opening, which constitutes the exhaust hole, is formed in a region, which is closer to a tip end-side of the discharge part than seal parts crimped to each other when the discharge part is pulled into the bag main body.

摘要： An airbag of a head-protecting airbag device includes a bag body, a plurality of mounting tabs for mounting an upper edge of the bag body on the vehicle body, and a tension cloth. The bag body includes at its terminal region in a front and rear direction where the tension cloth is located a terminal inflatable portion that is partitioned from a remaining general inflatable portion by a terminal partitioning portion. The terminal inflatable portion is so deployable that its upper end region be deployed on an inboard side of a pillar. The mounting tabs include a terminal mounting tab located at the terminal region where the terminal inflatable portion is located and a general mounting tab located at the general inflatable portion. An upward protruding amount of the terminal mounting tab out of the bag body in an unfolded state is greater than that of the general mounting tab.

摘要： An airbag device includes an airbag, a connecting member extending from the airbag, and an actuator mounted on an airbag housing for controlling an inflation manner of the airbag. The actuator includes an actuator body that includes an operating pin which penetrates the connecting member, a mounting plate that holds the actuator body and is secured to the airbag housing, and a supporting plate that is disposed in a vicinity of a leading end portion of the operating pin. The supporting plate includes a supporting hole for receiving the operating pin, and a flange that is formed in a part of a periphery of the supporting hole toward which the connecting member is released. The flange extends along an axial direction of the operating pin towards the leading end of the operating pin for supporting the leading end portion of the operating pin with its surface facing the operating pin.

摘要： A lateral partition is formed by a pair of structural fabric portions, each of which has a first peripheral portion and a second peripheral portion. The first peripheral portions of the structural fabric portions are each joined to one of main body fabric portions. The second peripheral portions of the structural fabric portions are joined to each other by a joint portion provided along the second peripheral portions. An inner tube extends over the upper inflation chamber and the lower inflation chamber, while intersecting with the lateral partition. A rear peripheral portion of a part of the inner tube is joined to the main body fabric portions by a part of the peripheral joint portion, and a front peripheral portion of the part is joined to the structural fabric portions by the joint portion.

摘要： An airbag having an exhaust hole and an opening/closing control device configured to control opening and closing of the exhaust hole are provided. The airbag includes a bag body, and a discharge portion having the exhaust hole, the discharge portion is configured to maintain a blocked state of the exhaust hole by being drawn into the bag body at the time of inflation of the bag body in a state where connection between a connection member and the opening/closing control device is maintained, and to be inflated by protruding from the bag body at the time of inflation of the bag body in a state where the connection between the connection member and the opening/closing control device is released to open the exhaust hole. A dummy inflation portion inflated to partially protrude from the bag body is formed at a position approximately symmetrical to the discharge portion. A volume of the dummy inflation portion at the time of inflating completion is set to be smaller than a volume of the discharge portion in a state where the exhaust hole is open at the time of inflation.

The inside of the airbag main body is divided by a vertical partition including a gas flow restrictor at least into an upstream inflation portion, which is located rearward of the vertical partition and receives inflating gas, and a downstream inflation portion, which is located forward of the vertical partition and receives the inflating gas that has passed through the upstream inflation portion and the gas flow restrictor. The dimension of the vertical partition in the widthwise direction of the automobile seat is set to a dimension that is equal or approximate to the dimension of the airbag main body in the widthwise direction in a case in which the airbag main body is inflated without the vertical partition.
