摘要: There is provided mechanisms for beam selection. A method is performed by a network node. The method comprises performing a beam management procedure for at least two terminal devices. During the beam management procedure reference signals are transmitted in a beam sweep as performed in a set of beams. During the beam management procedure, each of the at least two terminal devices reports at least two beams in the set of beams for which the reference signals have been received with highest power. The method comprises selecting which beams to serve the at least two terminal devices based jointly on the reports and a mutual interference criterion for the at least two terminal devices.

摘要: There is provided an antenna arrangement for a radio transceiver device. The antenna arrangement comprises at least two antenna arrays, wherein at least one of the at least two antenna arrays has antenna elements of two polarizations. The antenna elements of one polarization at each of the at least two antenna arrays define a respective set of antenna elements. The antenna arrangement comprises at least two baseband chains. The antenna arrangement comprises a switching network configured to selectively operatively connect each of the at least two baseband chains with its own set of antenna elements such that no two baseband chains are operatively connected to one and the same set of antenna elements. Each of the at least one antenna array that has antenna elements of two polarizations is operatively connected to the switching network via a respective hybrid connector configured to provide a signal from one of the baseband chains to antenna elements of both polarizations.

摘要: A method is performed for beam training of a radio transceiver device comprising at least two antenna arrays. During the beam training, a first set of occurrences of a reference signal is received using all the antenna arrays and such that one respective occurrence of the reference signal is received in one single wide beam at each of all the antenna arrays. During the beam training, a second set of occurrences of the reference signal using less than all antenna arrays and such that one respective occurrence of the reference signal is received in each respective narrow at each of the less than all antenna arrays. Which of the less than all antenna arrays to receive the second set of occurrences of the reference signal is determined based on evaluation of reception of the first set of occurrences of the reference signal at each of all the antenna arrays.

The method comprises transmitting reference signals from at least two antennas on respective uplink channels towards a network node. The method comprises receiving a forwarded representation of each of the reference signals from the network node. The method comprises estimating a relation between the uplink channels towards the network node for the at least two antennas using the reference signals and the received forwarded representations of the reference signals, thereby estimating the relative uplink channel, towards the network node, between the at least two antennas.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for estimating angle of arrival of a radio signal in a radio communications network. A method is performed by a receiving radio transceiver device. The method comprises obtaining measurements of the radio signal as received in two receive beams covering a given angular sector. The two receive beams are created by analog beamforming in an antenna array. The receive beams have different complex beam patterns and at any angle within the given angular sector at most one of the complex beam patterns has gain below a threshold. The method comprises estimating the angle of arrival of the radio signal by comparing a complex amplitude of the measurements in the two receive beams to a discriminator function.
