Abstract: A cell observation container includes a first container configured to accommodate a culture solution, and a second container having one or more wells that are able to be put in and taken out of the first container while retaining one or both of cells and cell masses cultured in the culture solution. One or more wells each include a bottom portion that is able to retain the culture solution, and a side wall that extends from a peripheral portion of the bottom portion. A liquid passage portion through which the culture solution accommodated in the first container is able to pass is provided in the side wall.
