Abstract: A charging device, for charging a rechargeable device, which comprises a power converter stage, adapted to convert power from a power source to charge the rechargeable device when the rechargeable device is connected to the charging device, and an energy bank, adapted for fast charging of the rechargeable device. The charging by the energy bank is independent but simultaneous to the charging of the rechargeable device by the power converter stage.
