Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring a quality of a received signal of a user equipment (UE) are provided. The UE includes a bandwidth setting unit configured to determine a measurement bandwidth for a neighboring BS based on at least one bandwidth determined by a serving BS of the UE, and a measurement unit configured to measure a quality of a received signal based on the measurement bandwidth for the neighboring BS.
