Abstract: Disclosed are a display apparatus, a method of controlling the same, and a recording medium thereof, the display apparatus including: a display; a communicator configured to perform wireless communication with at least one device external to the display apparatus; and a processor configured to identify a material of an obstacle present in a vicinity of the display apparatus by obtaining information about the material of the obstacle, and control the communicator to transmit a transmission signal for the wireless communication based on the identified material of the obstacle.
