The method includes determining whether the electronic device is communicatively coupled to an external display device, when the electronic device is not communicatively coupled to the external display, receiving a first user utterance, executing a task corresponding to at least one of a word, phrase or sentence included in the first user utterance as indicated by the mapping, the task preconfigured by a user, and when the electronic device is communicatively coupled to the external display device, displaying at least one of a text and a graphical user interface (GUI) indicating the at least one word, phrase, and sentence on the external display.
