The method for obtaining numerology information by a user equipment (UE) includes detecting synchronization signals, obtaining first numerology information for the synchronization signals, decoding a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) based on the first numerology information, obtaining second numerology information for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) according to a result of the decoding, and receiving control information on the PDCCH based on the second numerology information.

A method by a terminal for transmitting uplink data in a wireless communication system comprises receiving downlink control information for scheduling of uplink transmission in a cell from a base station and transmitting the uplink data to the base station on the supplementary uplink if the indicator indicates the scheduling of the uplink transmission is associated with the supplementary uplink in the cell. The downlink control information includes an indicator indicating whether the scheduling of the uplink transmission is associated with a supplementary uplink in the cell.

Provided are an apparatus and a method for determining a bandwidth in a wireless communication system. A method of operating a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system includes: receiving information on a bandwidth supporting capability of a terminal from the terminal; transmitting information on at least one candidate bandwidth corresponding to the bandwidth supporting capability to the terminal; and transmitting information indicating a utilization bandwidth of the terminal among the at least one candidate bandwidth to the terminal. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce power consumption of the terminal and overhead for a bandwidth indication.
