Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing, by a mobile device, information identifying a number of barcodes and initiating a scanning session for the number of barcodes, the scanning session including capturing a number of images by a camera of the mobile device. The method further includes displaying, on a display of the mobile device and during the scanning session, a user interface that includes: (1) a current image captured by the camera of the mobile device; (2) for one or more barcodes in the current image, an augmented-reality overlay including information associated with that respective barcode; and (3) a scanning-session tracking element identifying one or more of the number of barcodes that have been scanned during the scanning session.
