An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a first memory for storing file data; a second memory having an attribute different from an attribute of the first memory; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to store, in the second memory, journal data associated with a change in at least a part of the file data, and update the at least a part of the file data stored in the first memory at least on the basis of the journal data when a designated condition is satisfied.
