Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic device. The electronic device may include: a display; at least one processor operatively connected to the display; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause, the at least one processor to, when installing an application received from an external electronic device, generate and store a first image in relation to the application and association information between the first image and the application and display, on the display, the first image as a widget image of a widget for the application.
