Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a switch configured to selectively connect power supplied from a power adaptor connected to the electronic device, a system load configured to be included in the electronic device and to receive power from the power adaptor or a battery connected to the electronic device according to on/off of the switch, and a controller configured to turn off the switch when entering an emergency power mode in a state where the power adaptor is connected to the electronic device.
