Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for a handover (HO) in an evolved Node B (eNodeB). The method includes receiving a measurement report from a user equipment (UE); transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a handover required message including information indicating whether the HO is for a circuit switched (CS) network or both a CS network and a packet switched (PS) network; and receiving, from the MME, a handover command message. The information is used, by the MME, to split a voice bearer from another bearer.
