Abstract: A method for providing a voice service in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is provided. The method includes, detecting a change in the total number of voice calls that are sent and received over a wireless channel of the WLAN, setting channel access-related parameters in the WLAN upon detecting the change in the total number of voice calls, and providing a voice service by applying the channel access-related parameters to the voice and data services.
