    Abstract: An airfoil journal bearing including a bearing housing having an inner surface forming a hollow so that a rotation shaft is insertable in the hollow; an airfoil in the hollow so that, when the rotation shaft is inserted in the hollow, the airfoil encloses at least 180 to 360 degrees of a circumference of the rotation shaft; and a ring member enclosing an outer surface of the bearing housing. The bearing housing includes an insert slit formed through the bearing housing from the inner surface of the bearing housing to the outer surface of the bearing housing. The airfoil includes an insert part bent from a circumferential direction of the airfoil to a radial direction of the bearing housing and extending, through the insert slit, to the outer surface of the bearing housing. The airfoil is engaged with an outer surface of the ring member through the insert part.

    Abstract: A cleaner is provided. The cleaner includes a pressure sensor, a current sensor, a suction motor, a brush motor, memory, comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions, and one or more processors coupled to the pressure sensor, the current sensor, and the memory, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the cleaner to obtain a suction pressure value of air sucked into the cleaner from the pressure sensor, obtain a driving current value of the brush motor from the current sensor, determine whether the cleaner has been lifted up from a floor based on the suction pressure value and the driving current value, and decrease suction power of the cleaner by decreasing a rotation speed of the suction motor according to a determination that the cleaner has been lifted up from the floor for a reference time or more.

    Abstract: A brushless direct current (BLDC) motor includes a rotor having a cylindrical permanent magnet to which a shaft is centrally coupled, and supported to rotate on the shaft. An annular stator surrounds the rotor and includes a plurality of teeth and a wound coil to generate an electromagnetic field. The permanent magnet includes a stress reducing portion, which is provided at opposite end portions thereof, and which has a shape having a mass or a volume which is smaller than a mass or a volume per unit length in an axial direction of a portion of the permanent magnet other than the opposite end portions, to reduce centrifugal stress caused by spinning of the rotor.

    Abstract: A stator core formed by stacking and then bending a plurality of straight core pieces having a plurality of bending portions is provided, wherein the core pieces each include a plurality of first core pieces and a plurality of second core pieces stacked between the plurality of first core pieces, and the bending portions each include a connecting portion formed at the same position of the plurality of first core pieces and the plurality of second core pieces when the plurality of first core pieces and the plurality of second core pieces are stacked, a first bending portion formed by cutting the plurality of first core pieces and formed on one side of the connecting portion with respect to the center of the connecting portion, and a second bending portion formed by cutting the plurality of second core pieces and formed on the other side of the connecting portion with respect to the center of the connecting portion, and wherein based on the plurality of first core pieces and the plurality of second core pieces being stacked, the first bending portion is entirely covered by the second core pieces, and the second bending portion is entirely covered by the first core pieces.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a compressor including a housing, and a motor including a stator to be interference fitted into and fixed to an inner circumferential surface of the housing and a rotor rotatable inside the stator. The stator includes an annular back yoke disposed inside the housing, a plurality of teeth extending radially inward from the back yoke, and a coil wound on the plurality of teeth. The back yoke includes a deformation portion compressed and deformed by the housing while the stator is interference fitted into the inner circumferential surface of the housing, a contact portion which protrudes radially outward from the deformation portion and being in contact with the housing, and a cavity formed on a radial inner side of the deformation portion into which which the deformation portion is deformed.
