Abstract: An internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) service providing method of a main electronic device and the main electronic device are provided. The main electronic device includes a first communication module configured to communicate with a sub electronic device; a second communication module configured to communicate with an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) server; and a control module configured to control receipt of IMS registration information from the sub electronic device and registration of the sub electronic device in the IMS server by using at least some of the received IMS registration information of the sub electronic device.
