Abstract: A method of displaying a view in a portable terminal includes: displaying a plurality of applications as a split view corresponding to a split display region of a display unit; reducing and displaying an application of the split view and switchable candidate applications in a switch mode; displaying an application selected from the candidate applications and changing an application displayed on the split view in a previous state to the candidate application; and enlarging and displaying the split view when the switch mode is terminated.

Abstract: A method for improving the performance of recognition by increasing the rate of recognition include executing a specific application, acquiring a user image from a camera while the specific application is executed, collecting a candidate group of non-contact type recognition patterns for an execution screen of the specific application by recognizing at least one of a user's face, eye and hand from the user image, determining an effective value from the collected candidate group of non-contact type recognition patterns, and updating a predefined default value by applying the determined effective value to the predefined default value. An electronic device for improving the performance of recognition and other embodiments also are disclosed.
