Abstract: A file transmission system is provided. The file transmission system includes a first electronic device for, in case that a second electronic device for file transmission is not found, generate quick response (QR) code data including information for changing the first electronic device to a sharing permitted target, and broadcast a packet for a QR code scan request, the second electronic device configured to, in case that the packet for the QR code scan request is received from the first electronic device, scan the QR code data of the first electronic device, and based on analysis of the scanned QR code data, provide a user interface (UI) enabling selection of a sharing option by which the first electronic device may be configured as a sharing permitted target.
