    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 4th-Generation (4G) communication system or a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond the 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method of a central unit-control plane (CU-CP) included in a secondary node (SN) (or secondary gNB (SgNB)) in a wireless communication system supporting evolved universal terrestrial radio access and new radio dual connectivity (EN-DC) includes receiving, from a master node (MN) (or master eNB (MeNB)), a first message for requesting the SgNB to allocate a radio resource for a bearer, and transmitting a second message, including indication information indicating whether a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) version of the bearer has been changed, to the CU-UP included in the SgNB. The indication information is generated based on the first message.

    Abstract: A method of a first base station in a communication system and an apparatus therefor are provided. The method includes determining an addition mode configured to add a second base station, identifying whether to add the second base station based on the addition mode, and performing a procedure of adding the second base station based on the second base station being identified as being added. The addition mode may indicate one of a combination of at least one of a blind addition, a traffic criterion addition and a measurement report criterion addition.     Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication scheme and system for converging a 5th generation (5G) communication system for supporting a data rate higher than that of a 4th generation (4G) system with an internet of things (IoT) technology. The present disclosure is applicable to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail, and security and safety-related services) based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. A proposed method for a base station to transmit information controlling configuration of an uplink (UL) secondary component carrier (SCC) corresponding to a secondary cell in a wireless communication system supporting carrier aggregation (CA) includes identifying first information associated with an uplink electric field of a primary cell, transmitting measurement configuration information associated with the secondary cell to a terminal, receiving a measurement report message associated with the secondary cell from the terminal, identifying second information associated with a downlink electric field of the secondary cell based on the measurement report message, and transmitting the information controlling configuration of the UL SCC of the secondary cell to the terminal based on at least one of the first information or the second information.
