Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for reestablishing an RRC connection in an LTE system and an electronic device thereof, and the method by which a base station reestablishes an RRC connection comprises the steps of: receiving an RRC connection reestablishment request message from an electronic device; confirming whether a context of the electronic device is present in the base station; if the context of the electronic device is not present, receiving a context of the electronic device from a base station which was in the process of an RRC connection with the electronic device; and reestablishing the RRC connection on the basis of the received context.
