Abstract: Provided is a method of controlling an operation of an image forming apparatus by using a wearable device, the method including operations of converting a task performance request related to a task, which is transmitted from the wearable device, into an execution instruction of a first application that controls the operation of the image forming apparatus; requesting, as the first application is executed based on the execution instruction, the image forming apparatus to perform the task; and receiving, as the task is performed by the image forming apparatus, information indicating a task performance result related to the task from the image forming apparatus.
