Abstract: A device and a method for managing and controlling an end-to-end network in a wireless communication system are provided. The management device for controlling an end-to-end network in a wireless communication system includes a network slice manager configured to configure network slices for a terminal, a policy manager configured to set a policy applied to the network slices and a software defined network (SDN) device configured to control one or more network entities related to transmission of traffic for the network slices, based on the policy, wherein each of the network slices are configured for a different frequency band.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for managing quality in a mobile communication system and, more particularly, to a method and apparatus for managing user quality of experience (QoE) between various wired and wireless networks. A method for managing user quality of experience by means of an apparatus for managing user quality of experience in a mobile communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: setting a quality measurement request message by using a quality measurement condition received from a user; transmitting the quality measurement request message to a quality measurement device; and receiving information on the quality which is measured by using the quality measurement condition, wherein the quality measurement request message and the information on the quality are transmitted while being included in an OpenFlow message.

Provided are a method and an apparatus for network quality management. An operating method of a controller apparatus for measuring a network quality according to various embodiments of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving a message including information on targets, the network quality of which is to be measured; determining a path between the targets; transmitting information on the path to at least one different network element (NE); and transmitting a measurement request message to at least one of the targets so as to measure the network quality on the basis of the information on the path. Therefore, the method and the apparatus according to various embodiments of the present disclosure can efficiently manage the quality of a network.

Methods of operating a device for controlling a flow rule in a software-defined network (SDN), according to various embodiments, comprise: an operation of receiving a physical address request packet for a first host to communicate with a second host from a first network device connected with the first host; an operation of transmitting the received physical address request packet to a second network device connected with the second host; an operation of generating a flow rule relating to a transmission path of a data packet transmitted from the first host to the second host, on the basis of the physical address of the first host and the physical address of the second host, when a physical address response packet including the physical address of the second host is received from the second network device as a response to the physical address request packet; and an operation of transmitting the generated flow rule to the first network device and the second network device, so that the first network device and the second network device transmit the data packet on the basis of the flow rule.
