Abstract: An interior permanent magnet synchronous motor including a stator including a plurality of teeth, and coils wound around the plurality of teeth; and a rotor configured to be rotatable in a hollow region of the stator. The rotor includes a plurality of permanent magnets in the rotor, and a slit which is arranged within a polar arc angle τ (T=360°/P, where P represents a number of poles of the rotor) and toward a lead side of the polar arc angle τ, and arranged to be inclined in an opposite direction of a rotation direction of the rotor.
