摘要: Disclosed is a technology for a sensor network, Machine to Machine (M2M) communication, Machine Type Communication (MTC), and Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure can be used for intelligent services based on the technology (services related to smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security, and safety). A method of reproducing content by a virtual reality device is provided. The method includes transmitting parameters related to functions of a user device; receiving interest metadata related to content that matches a set of the transmitted parameters; receiving and decoding the content corresponding to a version that matches the set of transmitted parameters in a unit of at least one tile corresponding to a view area to be displayed in accordance with a user's viewpoint based on the interest metadata; and rendering the decoded tile based on the interest metadata.

The method includes obtaining at least two images captured from a target, arranging the at least two images and projecting the at least two images onto a planar surface to configure a 360-degree image corresponding to the VR content, detecting an overlapped region of the at least two images projected and generating rearrangement information about the overlapped region, and transmitting the rearrangement information and the at least two images.

A method for processing a 360-degree image is provided. The method includes determining a three-dimensional (3D) model for mapping a 360-degree image; determining a partition size for the 360-degree image; determining a rotational angle for each of the x, y, and z axes of the 360-degree image; determining an interpolation method to be applied when mapping the 360-degree image to a two-dimensional (2D) image; and converting the 360-degree image into the 2D image.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of playing back a bitstream for transferring a group of pictures, the method comprising the steps of: parsing, when a random access occurs in a first picture, a network abstraction layer (NAL) unit header of at least one second picture following the first picture and determining a NAL unit type of the at least one second picture; removing the at least one second picture from the bitstream on the basis of the determined NAL unit type; and decoding and displaying the bitstream from which the at least one second picture has been removed.
