Abstract: A method for performing smart screen rotation and an electronic device thereof are provided. A method for controlling screen rotation in an electronic device includes determining a direction of the electronic device, and determining a direction of a user, and determining whether to rotate a screen by comparing the direction of the electronic device with the direction of the user.
